A couple HW girls are playing at PGF Nationals this week in Orange County so Melanie went down to watch them. It was fun watching the games and catching up with our players. It sounds like they have been having fun, softball filled summers!
I saw so many things that reminded me of when I was playing. One was the Salinas Storm, the team I played for in high school, and also a pitcher who walked the perimeter of the circle before she threw. She walked A LOT faster than when that was my pre-pitch routine, but she was a good pitcher, and she made the other team struggle at the plate. The game is growing, but the essence of the sport, and the girls of summer haven't.
