It was perfect weather for the outdoor bus ride. We got to see the main sights, like the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, but it was too hard to take photos of them.
I had no idea how much history is actually centered here. The architecture and brick makes you feel like important things were happening at every turn while Benjamin Franklin was alive.
We got to see the Rocky statue and climbs the stairs from the movie. There were a ton of people exercising there and it looked like so much fun.
We drove by Betsy Ross’ house where she sewed the first American flag. It’s such a cute little two story house!
We also saw the US Mint where they make $2 million in coins a day.
We ended our night when we got back to campus with a gift exchange. Each Mercy girl gave a gift to someone who made an impact on them from another school during the conference. It was amazing to watch the friendships and comradery grow in only three days through shared experiences and common values. Our trip was worth it!
Closing ceremonies and home tomorrow. Ready for vacation!!!
