We went to the beach later in the afternoon when the tide was much higher. Syd was out surfing for a few minutes when the ranger came over and called him out of the water with his loud speaker. Another surfer had been attacked by a shark 10 minutes prior! They said that the whale smell was bringing the sharks in close. Syd came in quickly and we went for a walk instead.
