Mt Wilson is the peak above Pasadena and since Syd and I had a free afternoon we decided to take a drive up there. It is only about an hour an 9,000 feet out of the city, but you couldn't feel farther from Los Angeles. The air is crisp and clean and much cooler than at the bottom. |

At the top, there is an observatory that opens on weekends. I had no idea anything was up there, but it might be fun to check out the telescopes some time. It was a little hazy today so the view wasn't super impressive, but you could still see Pasadena and the downtown LA skyline.
