Finally Played

Celebrating the first home run of the season

The weather was clear enough to finally get a game in and my players played so well today! They hit confidently, line drives in the gap, and even one left the park. We scored 10 runs in 4 innings off a decent team. Then in the top of the 5th inning, all we need are 3 outs to win by run rule, it started to rain! The umpire called the game saying the field was too dangerous to play. The other coach even offered to have his players stand in the box and swing at 9 pitches in a row to end the game but the umpire said no. We are so close to our first win of the season!!

Kind of a let down, but they played to well we can't be too disappointed. The plan is to finish the game after we play them in league, playing 7 innings plus 1! Until then the game doesn't count.
