The last two games Ray has been our umpire. He is a nice guy, loves to chat, and has watched my team grow up from the HMB Waves through high school. We played at Aragon today and they have a bunch of red lounge chairs for their fans and Ray decided to bring one on to the field during warm ups. It was pretty funny and we all got our phones out to take pictures. No matter how many games you go to, you always see something new!
And by the way, Grace threw a no hitter today with a walk. My team got 14 hits and we won 12-0. Feels good to be 2-0 in league. Our focus has been good at bats, playing catch on defense, and having high energy. I have been calling it "our process" of how to dominate every inning and it is working. The girls are even talking about "the process" so it is pretty cool to have players believing in what our team is trying to achieve each inning. I'm so proud of them.
Tomorrow is another day on the diamond. We finally have a home game. Go Cougars!
Bob is plentiful, bizarre, and creative. He makes for interesting softball games.
