Yosemite falls! The upper and the lower.
Our first excursion of the day was to the lower falls. You could feel the mist!
We hiked up the Yosemite Falls trail going back and forth along switchbacks. The trail climbed elevation rapidly and we went about a mile up and gained 1000ft to 5,000ft. We didn’t go all the way up to the look out which can be an 8 hour hike, but the view over the valley was cool.
Granite and the moon. We walked around some more on the valley floor, checking out the visitor center and the Ahwahnee hotel.
I am very proud of this photo! It is the money shot from Tunnel View on the way back to our cabin in Wawona.
Syd did a little exploring by the river near our cabin, but we were pretty tired from hiking all day to do too much.
It’s been a good trip! Saw a lot of nature’s beauty. Crossing Yosemite off my bucket list.
love this!
