A Hawk

We played golf at Sharp Park today and on the 11th hole a hawk swooped down and landed in the tree. It was really big and had its eye on something.

After a few minutes it dove into the ice plant. It stayed on the ground with its wings spread and we could see that it had something in its claws. It sat there adjusting its grip and then flew off with a big gopher for dinner. It’s was impressive! I had never seen a hawk on the ground so close up.
