What a Day!

We haven’t had power for over 24 hours. Four big tree came down last night at the end of our street. They took out the power lines and a power pole. They spent all day cleaning it up and we haven’t even seen a PGE truck yet to start to restore power. 

Meanwhile, the contractor across the street noticed a huge crack in the tree outside our house. It’s not on our property line, so technically the tree belongs to the county, but if it came crashing down, it would definitely be our problem, not to mention the power lines. I called the county and they said they couldn’t come out to check because the were only responding to “emergencies”. A neighbor happened to stop a PGE crew from around the corner and they looked at it and said that it was definitely a threat, so they called a crew to come cut down the limb.

Cleaning up the aftermath. 

Crews are still here cleaning up. No sign of the power company yet. Hoping to get power back by tomorrow so I can charge my phone and then call the solar panel company!!!

Thanks to my parents for letting us shower and charge are phones at their house today.
