Competition Day 2

Today was a whirlwind of cheerleading! Mercy had two stunt groups compete and the team finals. The girls were high energy and excited to get out there on the mat. 
We were the first team in the arena this morning. 

Stunt group number one is made up of all underclassmen. 

Stunt group number two had more experience and difficulty. 

Both groups hit and got zero deduction pins! Meaning they didn’t have any wobbles!

The team worked hard in warm ups back stage. They changed the routine quite a bit from day one to add difficulty. 

The girls had a solid performance on the big stage. The team has nine seniors so all of them were sad that it was over when they came off the mat. 

The awards ceremony tonight was a big concert with professional cheerleaders. The arena was packed with all the teams. Stunt group one finished 2nd in their division and the team finished 4th. They really wanted to win, but it wasn’t their day. I’m proud of them for their hard work and how they represented Mercy!!
