Today we went down to Redondo Beach and hung out by the pier.
I wore a crazy amount of sunscreen and even reapplied multiple times. The water was really nice today and we spend about an hour swimming. Much different than living in NorCal.
For dinner we had seafood by the pier. They have a place that looks like a fish market, but actually you buy the fish and then they cook it right there for you. The selection is huge and everything is totally fresh. Sabrina bough a whole spider crab that was gigantic. It is much sweeter than dungeness crab but hard to crack because the shell is so thick.
Syd asked the guy what fish was the freshest and the best and the expert recommended red snapper caught off the coast of Mexico not too far away.
The fish was delicious and they cooked it right in front of us. Syd enjoyed every bite, and I liked it too.
This is the aftermath of our meal. Cracking crab is messy but we had a lot of fun. Great Saturday to kick off the summer.
