Thunderstorms

This morning we drove out to the beach about 10 miles away from where we are staying. The beach and gulf is so flat! I heard that for every mile you go off the coast in the gulf, the water only gets a foot deeper. So different from the steep drop offs on the California coast.










From the sand we could see the thunderstorms coming onshore and it rained for most of the day. There was so much water that during high tide the water rose above the canal.

We stopped at a fruit stand on the side of the road and bought some delicious Georgia peaches. It felt very country, but the peaches are perfectly ripe and I could eat them all day. We still have not found any peach cobbler around here. My eyes are pealed.
