Our field was wet today after the rain, but Callie my assistant coach jumped right on the gator and got to work. We had moved the dirt around before noon to get some air circulating, so dragging right before practice did the trick. The field went from standing water to playable, and we were able to scrimmage on the field! I saw a lot of good at bats, and also some areas we need to work on (base running!). We are now allowed to train for two hours so we have plenty of time to cover both defense and offense.
Looking forward to the varsity team meeting tomorrow and getting our hands dirty in preparing for the season.
