In between beach going, we went to two different waterfalls. Both were beautiful, and both had a ton of roosters and chickens.
Wailua falls goes into a pond. It is a steep hike down to the bottom of the cliffs and we saw some people attempting. We were in sandals so that will have to be another adventure.
These roosters were balancing on the guard rails.
The Opaekaa falls feed into the same river. They are higher up so the view of the island from the top is much more dramatic.
The roosters in this area are also a lot more fearless. One was not scared of us at all, pooped in front of our car, and then stood behind the car while we were trying to back up.
We could see it in the back up camera and it was not in any hurry to move!
