I tried on my Nutcracker costume while taking RR to her ballet. The dress was originally made for a women in her late 40s. Good thing I tried it on early because it definitely needs some alterations. Sue the director put pins in all kinds of places and they are going to give me a belt so I have a waist. The dress is 1800's style and I wear a fluffy pettie coat under the skirt and it has huge puffly sleeves. I think I am going to look for some jewelry to make the outfit more elaborate since I am supposed to be hosting a shi shi Christmas party. I also need to figure out shoes... Hmm.
Dad tried on his jacket too and we are going to match! These Nutcracker pictures are going to be great.
