Poor Posey

Mannn... just like every other Giants fan, I am so bummed about Buster Posey's injury. The news has been all over my Facebook newsfeed since the collision happened, and it doesn't look like there will be a single Marlins fan in the Bay Area anymore. I can't even tell you how many times I saw the repeat of the play at home that took out his ankle on Sports Center yesterday. Usually the Giants don't get much coverage on ESPN but it goes to show how important of a player Buster is to the Giants and also the face of baseball as the 2010 Rookie of the Year.

The Giants aren't willing to say officially that Buster is out for the season with a broken ankle and torn ligaments, but I know a serious injury when I see one. The slow mo video looks awful. Good thing he is young though. I hope he heals quickly! It is hard to tell now, but I think the Giants are going to struggle without his bat in the line up.

Is this the torture Giants fans know and love? Ehh... I prefer late inning comeback wins and panda hats to dirty plays that sideline our golden boy.
