I hiked to Trails Cafe in Griffith Park the other day and discovered that it is a really cute place for a picnic. They have hot food, and an expresso bar, but I was most impressed with the apple pie. It was nice sitting on the picnic tables with the other hikers. One lady sitting next to me struck up a conversation and told me all about being from Minnesota and how it's snowed there last week. She was calling her visit to Griffith Park and LA her "spring break," which I thought was funny because I am already in total summer mode.
Looking forward to going back someday and taking my friends.
