The theme of camp today was staying balanced while swinging. Coach Williams is famous for her balance beam drills and all of the campers rocked it out. Even our littlest campers!
I was in charge of the live batting station and it was really fun watching the campers have "ah ha" moments. They were all engaging their legs in their swings and the balance beam drills were paying off. When a hitter uses her legs in her swing, you can hear the difference when the ball comes off the bat. When the girls hear that noise and feel the difference for the first time, I love seeing their faces light up. It's a thrilling moment and that's what camp is all about.
Yeah, this is victory. These moments.
