Hello from Dusseldorf! We are staying with Vanessa and Rudi in their new home. They have a really cool flat in Japan town that is spacious, has a cute patio, and a back house with a playroom/office. It is a great place for their family!

The kids LOVE Syd and it is funny because they call him Prince. This goes back to when Olivia came to our wedding and thought my dress looked like a princess so naturally this made Syd a prince. She shared this info with her brothers and now they yell "Prince! Prince!" among other German words we have no clue what they mean. 

Too Much Fun on the Patio

We explored the city for most of the day since it is new to all of us. We went to the old town where they have were having a street festival. The Prince and Vanessa played some table tennis that was exhibited because the table tennis world championships were in Dusseldorf a few weeks ago.

For lunch we got our fair share of German food to hold us over for our trip. We ate at a local brew house from Dusseldorf.

Dusseldorf in on the Rhine River and the main attraction is the riverwalk. It has the "world's longest bar" that is a mile long along the river. We took a river cruise to see the city sites. Kai was stoked about being on a boat.

The Prince's goal today was to find some mustard to bring back home with him. We went to a special mustard shop and he got to taste the different kinds. He was thrilled with his selection and had a hard time deciding what to choose.

We ended our day at a Japanese restaurant close to V's house that was excellent! Two Americans and a German in a Japanese restaurant was so random, but it was fun having a chance to catch up.

Home tomorrow. I am sad our vacation is over, we saw so many cool things both in Spain and Dusseldorf. We are already discussing where we want to go on our next trip and I hope we can come back to Europe next summer.
