National Coalition of Girls' Schools

Last night I took a red eye flight from SFO to Washington DC. I arrive at 8:30am this morning, which was just enough time to check into my hotel, nap (20 minutes), and then shower and get ready for the conference. I am attending the National Coalition of Girls' School's convention for the next two days. The theme is innovation in education, and so far I have heard some great speakers. I am mostly looking forward to hearing how other schools promote leadership both in and out of the classroom.

Our last meeting of the evening ended at 6:00 so I took the metro two stops to the National Mall. I took a quick walk and snapped photos. If I have time tomorrow I hope to explore some more. I don't think I am going to have enough time to see any museums, unfortunately.

I waved and pretended Obama was in there.
You can't help but feel patriotic while in DC.

I wish I had worn my Women's March Shirt!! I did my own mini march.

Bed for me. I seem to be in my own time zone.
