Awesomely Exhausting

Another awesomely exhausting day here in SoCal. V and I started off the day baking for the softball girls at IH. We made sweet baseball looking cupcakes for the bus ride to the game. Yum.

After running errands and getting organized for the day, V and I went to Hollywood to see the sign and walk the hall of fame. V also found some tshirts to bring back to her family.
Here is V with the Hollywood sign. We got bored doing all the touristy things so we ended up getting some lunch from Trader Joe's and eating it in Griffith Park before going to IH.

IH had a semi-final game tonight in the St. Monica Invitational. We played St. Monica and beat them 4-3!
The team waiting for the field to clear so we could start warming up.

The game was definitely theatrical. In the bottom of the 6th inning (we were home) the score was tied 3-3. Maeve lead off the inning with a double to deep left field. She stole second and then moved to third on a fielder's choice. The next two batters walked to load the bases. Faith, our number two hitter came up to the plate and slammed a hard ground ball to third base to score two runs. The game was immediately over because of time limit and the girls stormed the field to give hugs and high fives. Great team win!

Now we are playing in the Championship game tomorrow against our rival school Marlborough. They are in our league and this game will have a lot to do with pride and making a statement about who is a force in the Sunshine League. I don't know about you, but the way we have been hitting lately, my money is on us.

So proud of the girls and I can't wait for tomorrow.

Go Heart!
