Today Blake Leeper, the fastest Paralympic runner in the world right now came to speak at our school. He told his story about being a double amputee and how he defied the odds to win a silver medal and set world records. His story was very inspiring, but the coolest thing about the day was watching him run. He gave a demonstration of his warm up routine and then raced the fastest kids at the middle school.
It was amazing to watch his blades in action. Blake is the 19th fastest runner in the world and watching him run today is an experience I will never forget. He will be the talk of the school for months to come.
