Puerto Vallarta

I am not sure who the hotel internet is going to kill first, me or Syd. I need to blog and Syd needs to work. The internet is spotty at best, even after paying 1,000 pesos for it! Travel blogging is my favorite thing so I am going to do my best, but posting pictures might be a little bit to be desired.

We had an easy trip from LAX to Puerto Vallarta. It is only a three hour flight and took less than 30 minutes to go through immigration. Piece of cake! Our resort was a less than 10 minute cab ride away, which was great. The Melia Vacation Club and Resort is nice, clean, friendly, and you almost feel like you are in the US, except, things are just a little bit inefficient (the internet for example or showing up promptly for our dinner reservation and being the only people at the restaurant, servers included.) It should be a good week staying here, but I am realizing that Syd and I are not really resort people, we need to get out, explore, and do things!

The View From Our Room

We walked around the Marina area last night. It has a huge light house at the Yacht Club and I am hoping we will eat dinner there one night. I saw a sign that said "Beware of crocodiles," didn't think much of it, until holy shit there was a 6 foot crocodile! Now I am wondering, do they really stay in the bay or do they make it around the bend to our beach...?

 Looks like this is the best I can do uploading pictures wise. Our plan for today is to go into downtown Puerto Vallarta.
