Day two of camp was a huge success. The theme was bunting and sliding, and by the end of the day we were all worn out. Especially me!
We started off with three stations of conditioning. The girls did hurdle jumps and and then sprinted to the base.
We put parachutes on the girls and had them run 50 yard sprints. It is a great resistance workout. I remember running with parachutes with Coach JJ at Towson.
For offense today we learned how to properly sac bunt and surprise bunt the ball. We played the cone game where the girls got three pitches to bunt the ball through the cones. Molly, our littlest camper was the winner.
Camp photo opp at lunch today. Check out our sweet shirts.
While the girls at lunch, the coaches set up the slip and slides. We had two slip and slides and hooked them up to hoses. The spray was the best part.We taught the girls how to figure four slide into bases, and also dive head first. We did a little bit of diving back into the base too, so they would learn how to not get picked off by the catcher.
At the end we grabbed some older gloves laying around school and tossed balls into the air. The girls got to practice diving head first for balls and also scooping them up feet first.
Time for bed and then doing it all over again tomorrow. Go HWSB!

Nice. Really fun!
