Little Princes

The book Little Princes by Connor Gennan was part of the community read at HW over the summer. I was hired after everyone had read the book, but I picked up my copy about a week ago and the first couple chapters have been very interesting and laugh out loud funny. Connor's story is about him volunteering in an orphanage in Nepal and his self realizations along the way. What is eerie to find out is that 70% of orphans in Nepal are not orphans and the children have been stolen from their families by child traffickers who are making money off selling them for adoption to Americans.

Today, Connor Grennan came to school to speak to the middle schoolers. He was an excellent speaker who kept the kids engaged and made all of us laugh. He now has an organization that works reunite the orphans with their families in remote villages Nepal.

Go read the book! It's worth it.
