Softball for All

On Thursdays we train at the Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex at the same time a 65 and older slow pitch league plays. The players are really into it and they show up an hour before the games start to chat in the parking lot. I very rarely see any actual warming up, and it seems like it's more about community than winning. They often make jokes about how my players and I are too young to play in their league.

There is one guy in particular who seems extra involved with the teams. The trunk of his car is lined with signed softballs and photos of teammates. It is cool to see that this sport is truely loved by all.
