Duffy's Cakemix

One of my players invited me to her charity event at Duffy's Cakemix for her organization Connect 4 Cancer. It was a fundraiser to raise awareness for childhood cancer, but what made it different was that everyone who came got to decorate a cake to take home. The store supplied a premade cake with all the fixings. I chose a purple cake and then made it nautical. My Martha Stewart skills came out in full force.

It was a really fun event and I was happy to have the chance to support my player off the field. Starting your own non-profit at age 15 is pretty impressive. Emerson is awesome.
