| Can you see the little paw sadly under the door?! |
This morning while we were getting ready for work, we closed our bedroom door so we could open our living room windows without fear that Arthur would jump out. A few minutes later when Syd needed to get shoes out of his closet, we realized that the lock malfunctioned and we had locked ourselves out of our bedroom, without shoes, our computers, and Arthur. Our building is a historic building in Pasadena and the locks and doors are the original from when it was built. One hundred year old door fixtures and locks are not ideal.
Syd tried to jimmy it open but nothing was working. Finally we got ahold of our land lord and it only took 3 hours to have a locksmith arrive. The worst part was Arthur was trapped in the bedroom all by himself and we could hear him crying. So sad!
Finally made it to school around 12. What a day! If we didn't love our apartment so much I think we would consider moving. Who has locks that automatically lock from the inside?! I think that's a fire hazard.
Was Arthur OK?!? I need a reassuring photo.
