Here We Are in Berlin

Eight hours on a train later.... we are in Berlin! Train ride, wasn't bad, and it probably should have been shorter but when the conductor came by to check our tickets he told us we were on the wrong train to Berlin. AHH! Two trains were leaving at 9:19 on platform 19 and 20, and for some non-logical explanation that probably happened in German, we were on the wrong train. The conductor was really nice about it though, found us two other seats in first class.

We were both tired and hungry when we arrived, so this post is going to be our eating tour of Berlin so far. Food blogging is a no no, but today's food is notable.

Syd Happiness: Meat

Syd ordered a ham hock and beer for dinner. He did the math and it was easily 4lbs of food. 

Claire Happiness: Dessert

 I had a strawberry ice cream sunday for dinner.

We did a little sight seeing this evening and saw where the Berlin wall used to be. The next couple days are going to be full of history lessons. Think full on underground bunkers in my future. I am tempted to buy a pair of shoes that I can get messy just for Berlin.
